This piece was devised by the director and cast, rooted in physical acting and mask work, influenced by traditions of Commedia dell'Arte. The ensemble explored themes related to power.
Bucknell University's Annual 24-Hour Play September 2012, 2013, 2014 Bucknell's Department of Theatre and Dance and drama club, Cap and Dagger, come together annually to devise, rehearse, and perform a theatrical piece in a 24-hour period. The project is designed to bring incoming theatre students together with upperclassmen to introduce the concept of devised theatre and to create bonds of community among the students. I worked as a devisor from 2012-2014, as an actor in 2012 & 2013, and as a facilitator and organizer in 2013 & 2014. Each year focuses on a new theme. In 2012, the theme was "Everyone should shower," in 2013, "awkward," and in 2014, "Small Talk." |
